I thought everyone had one and from what I heard the only time a person heard their middle name was when they were in trouble. Our daughter said she hated her middle name because of that reason. Today a friend was telling me when his father went into the Army he was standing on the first day and they were inducting him in when they asked his name and he told them. Then they said middle initial ? ,and he said none.The military person repeated the question with much emphasis. His father looked up and said X Sir. Later when my friend was born and he was named Junior he had the X as his middle initial also. My middle name is the reason I am Sam to most of my friends. I was born when cute little Shirley Temple was the Movie's little darling so I was given the moniker
that many other little girls born in that era were given. I was never able to sing "The Good Ship Lollipop" or dance with Bo Jangles. So, if anyone has wondered why I am called Grammy Sammy, there is your answer.
