JOY OF COOKING

There was a cookbook published years ago called the JOY OF COOKING. I didn't need a cookbook very often but found one that I liked much better than THE JOY OF COOKING. It was called the MODERN FAMILY COOKBOOK by META  GIVEN.  I also like two cookbooks by two different friends named Carolyn. One was compiled  by Carolyn Ball and several of her friends , myself included helped her put it together. The other one was compiled, written and given to me by Carolyn Garber the daughter of Wid and June Holden and sister of our friend Jerry who attended the First Church of God with us at the corner of Gilbert and English Street in Danville.I started writing some of my own recipes in the front and back cover. Now that Harvey has given me a slow cooker sometimes called a Crock Pot I am able to enjoy cooking more!
