CAUTION.....

I was doubtful about going to have my drivers license renewed . The letter I was sent said I had to take a driving test. I hadn't done this since 1965 when I first started driving. So...I kept postponing it but decided yesterday that I either had to do it or just forget it so I went to try. So, they tested my eyesight and that was satisfactory. The driving examiner was a woman. She was really a nice person. She put me at ease as she checked the turn signals, and lights. Then she checked our insurance and registration. She asked me to use my horn. Then off we went. she had me stop just as we left and told me to turn the wheels as if we were going uphill so I did. Then she had me go to Fourth Street in South Danville and then turn left onto Jefferson ,turn left into an alley about a block away. Then told me to turn around and go back the way we had come. We came back to fourth Street and she had me turn left and go back to the Drivers Agency. When I went in she nodded at the woman behind the counter and she motioned for me to come up and get my picture taken. I thought it would be good for only two years but Harvey showed me it said 4 years. It only cost $5 so there are perks for old people.
