Oh What a Beautiful Morning......
Oh What a Beautiful Day....
I remember my mom singing in the kitchen. This morning reminded
me of then. I was pouring a cup of mint tea and looked out my kitchen
window and enjoyed the scenery. The house next door is vacant so the grass is getting high and so is the clover.Nestled in the clover are two baby rabbits. Every once in awhile they leap and chase each other.I imagine Mama rabbit is close by.Oh. my goodness there is that squirrel walking the telephone line down the alley again.He fell once. You would think that would have taught him a lesson. Further down I can see my neighbor hanging oput clothes on her umbrella clothesline. Just to her left is her small garden with the chicken wire fence In the backyard next
to her home I notice the lawn has been newly cut.No doubt to impress a possible buyer. The FOR SALE in the front yard reminds me of the friendly neighbor who dies last year and his family is trying to sell his house.
I can see down the alley to the busy highway and the cars are going
North and South. I can hear an ambulance and I stand at the window
until it passes going North probably to Danville USMC. The
Weeping Willow tree is boasting his branches to and fro as if it too,
celebrates the first day of June.
