A CHAPEL CALLED GALLOWAY

Fond memories beckon me to
return to a by-gone day.
Across the plains of Indiana
to a Chapel called Galloway.
A mute testimony of faith and hope
seen across a greenng field.
Evidence of another promise of God
fulfilled and sealed.
Humble in its simplicity,
majestic in its stand.
Giving a lasting tribute to God
through this fruitful land.
The congregation was made of plain folk,
mostly farmers and their kin,
extending a warm welcome
to any stranger who might wander in.
Many years have passed,
and the old church is gone.
A new one stands there and
tradition carries on,
as people, young and old alike,
pause to worship on the Lords Day
