BIRTHDAY CARDS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME !!
I am always amazed at how many birthday cards arrive here at our house
for my birthday. Each one is special. I read them over and over again. One that I look forward to getting is from a neighbor on Franklin Street. We raised our kids together ages ago. We moved away in 1979 but we keep in touch every year for her April Birthday and my June Birthday. I drop in at her house for a "spot of tea" If I am lucky she has her peanut butter cookies on hand also. If she hasn't heard from me for awhile I get telephone call. Then I have a friend I met at a retreat several years ago. We all drew names and the requirement was to keep in touch for one year. Well, that was over five years ago and we still are in touch. Some of the cards come from across the country from folks we don't get to see very often. One lady from our church never misses my birthday.Another card had a Waldens Gift Certificate in it. They knew that it was my favorite place.If you want to see a smiling face just drop in and watch me read and re-read my birthday cards.
