I understand when someone says a blog is like a diary because it might be to some people but to me a blog is a story where a diary is a personal account of day to day living. My blogs may true or fictional. Only I know for sure. Usually I choose to
write true things in my blogs. My diary as my mothers and her mothers are actual accounts of life and what has happened. I have written in a diary since I was about 13 but destroyed a lot of them after one of my brothers brought one out and read about a crush I had on a neighborhood boy. Of course he didn't just leave it to our house. So I didn't start keeping a daily diary again until after I was married but then even disposed of some of them. Now I have diaries that date from 1978 to 2009 but then slacked off now and then during the next years. I wish I had kept up.

I love writing blogs as well, and I do use it as a diary. Some are true, and some are fiction.
I have a disclaimer on my blog that says:
"Any resemblance to persons, living or dead, true or fictional, are purely coincidental. No offense should be taken just because a person "might" see them selves in a situation they may have been in at one time or another."
Over the years, I have met many people from all walks of life, and during that time, have seen some funny, serious or even embarrassing things done. If it would be embarrassing for the individual, I would NEVER mention their real names. Never have, never will. People should never presume something is about them.
