| In 1953 it was called the CHRISTMAS PARADE. Pure and simple it was the celebration of the birth of BABY JESUS to Joseph and Mary and the Star over the stable in Bethleham shone brightly. Tonight Tuck and I will be Santa and Mrs Clause in the Holiday Parade. Tuck may not know that he was in that Christmas Parade in 1953. He played Baby Jesus and I was Mary and his dad was Joseph. Pastor Wolf and other men from the FOURSQUARE CHURCH at the corner of Walnut and Fairchild built the big box protected by windows to see through both sides, painted white with a big Red bow with the words.....GODS GIFT TO MAN. |
