I have lost my dearest friend to Dementia or Alzheimers. She still comes to church with her son who has tried for several years to make her comfortable. Soon it will be time for him to realize he has done all he can do. It will be a hard decision for he and his sister to make . What facility should they choose? We, my brothers and I had to make the decision and it was tough. I want her family to know that yes, I have lost my dearest friend who can't remember who I am, but she has not lost me. I will keep in touch.
