Helen Louise Harvey (March 25, 2012 - April 20, 2012)  Send Flowers Send Sympathy Gifts Send Sympathy Card Sign Guest Book | Send Private Condolences Helen Louise Harvey 87 of Urbana died at 1:02 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; Rev. Brent Roberson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at the funeral home. Mrs. Harvey was born on March 25, 1925 in Urbana, the daughter of Clyde W. and Goldie Kilgore Powers. She married James W. Harvey on November 26, 1942 in Urbana; he died on February 1, 1965. Survivors include two sons; Larry (Beverley) Harvey of Mahomet and Rev. Terry (Linda) Harvey of Villa Grove, four sisters; Marguerite Norman of Savoy, Virginia Harvey of Lancaster, California, Marian Morris of Canyon Country, California and Shirley Von Holten of Urbana, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Her parents, daughter and one brother preceded her in death. Mrs. Harvey graduated from Urbana Public Schools and L.I.F.E. Bible College in Los Angeles, California. She previously worked at Bank One and as office manager for Urbana Jr. High School. She was a retired Minister, having served in Bloomington, Danville, Petersburg, Springfield Harristown and Urbana. Mrs. Harvey was a member of Villa Grove Cross Roads Fellowship. She enjoyed ministering at various nursing homes, leading bible study, playing scrabble, sewing, crocheting and crafts.
